The first week of the second trimester! Or the last week of the first trimester, depending on your source. Exciting! Thinking of all the things that have to get done before the baby is here, I already feel like I need more time! Haha. It’ll all get done, one way or another. =)
Last time, I spoke too soon about getting my energy back. The fatigue is still nothing like what it was before, but this weekend I’ve been napping like it’s going out of style. I looooove naps.
I think I’m entering that “has that girl been eating more snacks lately??” stage of pregnancy. A stranger would hardly guess that I’m pregnant, but things are looking and feeling just a little different.
Pants are getting just a little tighter. =) I don’t really notice when I’m wearing my work clothes. When I think about it, I realize they used to fit kind of loose, and now they’re less roomy. But when I put on my jeans this weekend…oh yeah, I forgot, they were slightly uncomfortable last weekend, too! Pete actually saw me do the hair tie trick (instead of buttoning up, loop a hair elastic through the button hole and around the button for a little extra room)…and he laughed at me. Ha! Not in a mean way at all, but it was a short chuckle that erupted before he could even hold it in. Hey, it feels better. I make no apologies. =D
That night, we felt like getting out, so we ran out to Target and I grabbed some belly bands. I figured I’d get them now rather than wait until I reallyreally need them. These are made by the same company that makes the BellaBand, but it’s cheaper and more accessible. And what can I say? I’m stingy economical. Hopefully it’s as good as the “real” thing. I got a white one and a black one.
The other night, I went to my parents house to visit. As I was sitting there, my dad said something like, “Hey, I can see a little belly!” (I think it was just a roll of flesh, but we’ll go with the baby belly theory.) I laughed and said, “haha, just a little!” and poked at it (gently!). Dad was like…”DON’T SPANK THE BABY!!!! LOL! It made me laugh. He acted so concerned. This kid is going to have quite the fan club when he/she enters the world. =D
Later, when my mom hugged me bye, she was like, “whoa, there is something there!” She said she could feel “something,” when there used to be nothing there. =P So at least it’s not just my imagination that my tummy is starting to grow a little. =)
So I finally got a picture of this tummy I’ve written so much about. Might be kind of a downer because there’s really not much to see. It was hard to choose a picture because my tummy looked a different size in all of them. =P Also, it looks like I was sucking it in or something, but really I was just trying to stand up straight. Ah well.
Here’s this week’s cartoon baby! Can’t believe he/she’s 3 inches long!
