Okay, so the conversation was supposed to go something like this:

Me: Here, Mom, two bottles of wine I’m not going to drink.  You can have them.
Mom: Oh thanks!  But why don’t you drink them?
Me: Hm, I would, but I think it wouldn’t be good for the baby.
Mom: !!!

Instead it went something like this: 

Me: Here, Mom, two bottles of wine I’m not going to drink.  You can have them.
Mom: Why did you buy wine that you’re not going to drink?
Me: One I thought I would drink when I bought it.  The other one was a gift.
Mom: Oh, okay.
Me: …

Update: I showed my mom this blog post.  I was really nervous to do it.  But THAT WAS FUN! XD  It was fun to watch her read it over and over and see it sink in. Then, “RICK, COME OVER HERE AND READ THIS!!”  Then to watch dad read it over and over and see it sink in. Ohh, fun times. =)
