So, if you were brave (or crazy) enough to read the TMI portion of my last post, I thought I’d post a quick update. I could still be mistaken about all this movement business, but I think the little kiddo has been a lot more active tonight. Like he or she is saying, “Relax, Mommy, I’m fine. See? I’m doing cartwheels!” =)
I’m still a little nervous about the ultrasound. Because I’m still not totally sure about feeling the movement (I could probably be confident about it, but I’m always doubting myself). Also because I don’t really know if I can drink 16 ounces of water an HOUR before my appointment and not have to pee to the point of being delirious.
After work today, I looked at some of the maternity clothes at Penney’s…just to see…. I’d still be really awkward in maternity clothes, but I feel like the day I need them is not TOO far off anymore. I don’t know if any of those will fit until close to the end. =/ The dressing room is nowhere near the little maternity section (the nearest one is in lingerie…actually, the nearest one is the men’s dressing room, but I don’t think they want me in there…and I don’t want to go there either). I’d feel a little silly hauling that stuff across the second floor to try it on when I’m not really noticeably pregnant, so I didn’t find out how much I’d actually have to grow to fit into any of that stuff.
Random: My husband sometimes likes to rub my tummy and say, “wish I had a watermelon, wish I had a watermelon!” *lol* I asked him where it came from, and he said he didn’t know. A quick google search seems to indicate that it’s from a Little Rascals episode. There’s also a Latin tune called “I wish I had a watermelon,” but it seems to be instrumental.
So. Maybe the next update really will be on Tuesday. =)

So – Let’s talk maternity clothes. There are lots of maternity clothes out there that don’t make you look silly and simply help give you more room. While I LOVE shopping at Penny’s for normal clothes it was NOT my first option for maternity. (In fact I am not sure I found a single item there.) I relied heavily on the maternity shop in the mall, granted I can’t think of its name right now AND they have an outlet store at the RED roof mall in Branson that I frequented. I also found a few things at Sears. Oooh – Since I did read all the TMI stuff, you can also get preggy underwear.
Yeah, I didn’t really think I’d find anything that wonderful at JCP, but I thought I’d look since I have a 20% discount there. I think the store you’re thinking of at the mall is Motherhood Maternity. BUT I either didn’t know (or perhaps forgot) about the outlet at the red roof mall. Right on!
I know preggy underwear exists, but I’m resisting for now. I’m managing ok, and my butt is probably just gonna keep growing, lol. I don’t want to buy preggy underwear twice!
