Boring update this week.<\/p>\n

Here’s something I’ve found humorous throughout my pregnancy (at least since it’s been public knowledge), but I just now thought to write something about it.\u00a0 It’s the belly glance<\/strong>.\u00a0 When I see someone I haven’t seen since I got pregnant OR I haven’t seen in a while OR I just told someone that I’m pregnant…I get the belly glance.\u00a0 They’ll look me in the eye for a second or two or a few.\u00a0 Then…the quick glance at my belly to assess the progress.\u00a0 Since it’s such a quick glance, I can only assume they are trying to be subtle, but it is pretty obvious.\u00a0 But I don’t mind.\u00a0 =)\u00a0 I kind of get a kick out of it.\u00a0 It’s kind of like a game for me now.\u00a0 See how long it takes before they look.\u00a0 Some people hold out a surprisingly long time.\u00a0 Like, a minute or so.\u00a0 I’m approaching the point where there’s no question, and a stealthy glance is not required to see the belly.\u00a0 But still, no stranger has dared to say anything about it since the one guy I mentioned in a previous post.\u00a0 I was even offered wine multiple times at a recent continuing education dinner.\u00a0 Maybe they’re just being polite?\u00a0 Haha.\u00a0 But no, I don’t think baby would like wine very much, and I’m not a huge fan of it either.<\/p>\n

Picked up a few new preggie clothes.\u00a0 Got some new pants, which fit perfectly and I LOVE them. At Penney’s of all places. Gotta wear em with a long shirt though. =P \u00a0 Also picked up a few tops, but, before I take the tags off those, I’m going to take a look around Children’s Orchard for used stuff to see if I like any of it better…and see how prices at a used store compare to sale prices + my associate discount.<\/p>\n

I know I’m overdue for a belly pic.\u00a0 A few people were even starting to inform me of this, but I knew it already! =) So here you go:<\/p>\n

Edit: Sorry, folks, really intended to have one up.\u00a0 I tried, I really did.\u00a0 I’ll post it on a different entry, hopefully very soon.<\/em><\/p>\n

I’ve also been thinking of more serious things lately.\u00a0 I should say, my dear husband has inspired me to think about the bigger things.\u00a0 He’s a hard guy to get to know, so I don’t know if everyone who knows me totally understands what a great guy he is. =)\u00a0 But he is a very loving guy, and he loves our daughter very much already.\u00a0 And he thinks about important things that I procrastinate even thinking about.\u00a0 Like how he’s going to be more than just an average dad…more than just a good dad…he really aspires to be an amazing daddy to our little girl.\u00a0 Maybe it should go without saying, but I think a lot of people, whether they think about it or not, are content with being average.\u00a0 I am blessed to have a husband who is not content with average, not content with what the rest of the world might say is “good enough.”\u00a0 And he’s inspiring me to work to become the kind of person who, with God’s help, might become a better-than-average mom, too.\u00a0 We’ll both screw up, sure.\u00a0 But I believe, by striving to become the people God would have us be, we’ll be ahead of the curve.<\/p>\n

Cartoon baby time.\u00a0 I know Pete and MIL are praying for a red-headed little girl, but so far (if the internet is to be believed), her hair is just white.\u00a0 Pigment comes later. =)<\/p>\n
