I was thinking of things to add during the week last week, but I can’t really think of much this time. I’m mostly feeling the same. Still not sick. But some smells put me off. We used to looooove to get Chinese food. Now I can’t stand the thought of kung pao chicken. (I don’t even want to type it!) Pete still enjoys it, so he gets it sometimes, but I haven’t eaten it in a while. I’ve been talking to a few pregnant people and some recently-pregnant people, and they would talk about how they were always hungry. I really hadn’t experienced that. Until last week. Only problem: I’m hungry, but NOTHING sounds good. Absolutely nothing. So frustrating. I know I’m rambling, but click past the break. I’m just warming up.

Early last week, I received some goodies in the mail from Veronica (a friend I met through Pete who is expecting a little boy December 1). I really intended to make a blog post just for this, but I didn’t get around to it. =( She sent me some ginger treats since ginger is known to settle an unhappy tummy. Even though I’ve been incredibly blessed and I haven’t really been sick, there have been times when I’ve definitely enjoyed having something to settle my stomach. Sometimes I make ginger tea, but these are just so quick and fun! And tasty!

Ginger gummy bears! And candied baby ginger! Hmm, looks like those fruit and ginger gummies on the left are just about empty…. I love them all, but the gummies are my favorite (both kinds, even though the fruit ones have been hit harder, apparently). The crystallized ginger (far right) is quite good too, but a bit strong. Effective though. The gummy bears are so tempting to just nibble on because they’re tasty. The crystallized ginger I’m more likely to save for the times I think my tummy will appreciate it most. Anyway, Veronica is awesome, and it was a really sweet gift. ♥

I also have my 9 week belly shot. I can sort of tell a difference, but I realllly have to pay attention. I just feel like I have less of a waist. It kind of fluctuates, too, so maybe I’m just retaining a little extra fluid, but I think some of it is uterus. =) My clothes all still fit normally. (I think most of the changes are still boobage, but for that I’m not providing photographic evidence, ha. I would actually rather enjoy those particular changes if they weren’t also still rather sore.) Anyway, enough about boobs. Here’s the promised belly pic:

And the 9 week cartoon (about an inch long!):

I was thinking of things to add during the week last week, but I can’t really think of much this time. I’m mostly feeling the same. Still not sick. But some smells put me off. We used to looooove to get Chinese food. Now I can’t stand the thought of kung pao chicken.
